Weddings
The Register General has designated the Missionary Institute of St Patrick to conduct religious wedding ceremonies for the Irish State. The Irish State recognises a religious wedding. This means that the ceremony of Marriage is legal in Ireland and is based on your religious belief. Ceremonies are available at venues throughout the country or at a private owned church attached to a hotel.
Wedding ceremonies and marriages are performed in a religious setting independent of any denomination church or institution. This is performed at a venue of your choice.

What types of wedding ceremonies can we offer?
At The Ministry Institute of St Patrick, we can perform religious ceremonies for the Irish state, this means a ceremony of marriage that is legal in Ireland. Our wedding ceremonies can be:

Do we cater to traditional Christian weddings
Your wedding ceremony can be as orthodox (e.g. Christian) or Celtic or a blend and as unusual as you like.

How is the wedding ceremony prepared?
Most planning is done in advance via email or phone/Skype. On the day, everything will be set up an hour before the ceremony.
Rev Dr James Kinane:

To avail of this service on your wedding day, you must give 3 months notice to the Registrar's office and visit the office in person to provide all the documentation.
